This would not be the easiest crowd to please. Experiencing a sugar rush from Granny's doughnuts and hot chocolates (Look - they're young and refined sugar really isn't good for them) -. The boys would be playing Fifa 06 and Super Mario Bros all day, in between running around or being told off by their dad for being too loud or boisterous). Soon enough, the PSP would give out and need topping up. The question is would the Smart Battery be up to the job of getting both consoles fully charged before itself running out of steam? The device needs to be charged up for around six hours, so we cunningly did this the night before. In the morning we took just the device (minus its plug) and bought along the various attachments to ensure that it could charge up any gaming device we could chuck at it. The device has a capacity of 4800 mAh and an output of 5.3V, 0.7A. There is little button called "C-check/Start" that lights up a row of green LEDs that tell you how much charge is left. It has four different connectors that will fit PSPs, Nintendo DS, DS Lite, GBA and GB Micros. As our gaming devices were already run down it was a perfect opportunity to see if this device could help charge up the devices and maintain peace in the Gadget household. We can report that the charger was successful in both attempts. The charger is also available with connectors for mobile phones and MP3/iPods as well. We'd like to see this device come will all the connectors as this would greatly enhance its usability. The Smart battery costs around £29.99 (from Amazon). Rating: 9/10 |
