Nintendo WiiNintendo has already offered a voluntary replacement program for its Wii controller strap, following news of its delicate nature in the face of some extreme action moves. The company must have been hoping for a brighter Christmas, but that is the very thing that has caused more problems.

Sony on track for PlayStation 3 targets

Sony PS3Sony president Ryoji Chubachi claims that the consumer technology company is still on target to ship two million PlayStation 3 units before the end of 2006. Chubachi said that it was true that availability has been a bottleneck, but that the target was still achievable. "We do not need to revise our shipment targets," he said.

Nintendo Wii consoleEager punters splashing out on a Wii gaming console have helped push Nintendo’s UK sales to more than 50,000 in the first 12 hours of shopping. That figure translates into one Nintendo Wii unit sold every second throughout the UK since the console went on sale at Midnight.

BT Vision Philips V-BoxBT has finally made good on its promise to launch a television service, and has focussed its attack on Sky’s army of football fans. The service was originally announced in April, with users expected to be up and running by the Autumn.
