rock_lcd_tv.jpgLaptop manufacturer with attitude Rock has launched a new PC that thinks it's a TV and may well end up pride of place in your living room. The Meivo (which stands for multimedia entertainment integrating video on-demand) is a new LCD TV with an integrated computer, which, said the vendor, is perfect for the kitchen, bedroom or study as a compliment to the main household TV.

The Meivo offers PVR functionality and it said provides a platform for IPTV. It has a22" screen and will come HD ready, Vista enabled and supporting an Intel core 2 duo desktop class processor. 

Here are some of the specs for the computer.

 

  • Intel Core 2 Duo desktop class processor
  • 22" wide screen display at 1680 x 1050 resolution supports 720p HD res
  • Two desktop hard drive bays
  • 7.1 sound output to external speakers is supported
  • WiFi and Bluetooth built in along with memory card reader
  • side mounted USB for mp3 players
  • RF keyboard and mouse
  • TV Tuner - Digital and Digital/Analogue Hybrid options, UGA upgradable  by MXM

The vendor said it will be available from this April priced at £1,00 plus the dreaded VAT. And it doesn't look half bad either! More from Rock here.
