Catherine Tate adds more Tardis travel

Catherine TateHot on the heels of news that Kylie Minogue will feature heavily in the 2007 Doctor Who Christmas Special, it seems the Tardis also has another visitor. Catherine Tate, who starred in last year’s Christmas Special, will be joining the show as the 10th Doctor’s newest companion.

Sir Michael Lyons - chairman of the BBC TrustDowning Street has appointed Sir Michael Lyons as chairman of the BBC Trust, the BBC's new governing body, with effect from 1 May 2007. "It is a great privilege to be appointed chairman of the BBC Trust,” the former councillor and council chief executive said.

Sky HDUK satellite broadcaster Sky is planning to do its little bit to save the planet. An ‘Auto Standby’ feature on all Sky+ and Sky HD boxes will cut the amount of wasted energy from boxes permanently left on.

The Meivo (which stands for multimedia entertainment integrating video on-demand) is a new LCD TV with an integrated computer, which, said the vendor, is perfect for the kitchen, bedroom or study as a compliment to the main household TV.

Celeb Big BrotherBig Brother 8 could have bagged itself a new sponsor if reports of secret talks are true, and the deal might involve exclusive Big Brother clips on your mobile phone. At least if you're a Virgin Media subscriber, that is.
