It was
announced today at the Game Developers Conference that a brand new
512MB memory unit will be available from April 3, 2007. As Microsoft is increasing the size limit for Xbox Live Arcade games from 50MB to
150 MB, making higher capacity memory units seemed to be the logical
solution.

Nintendo's Wii console is proving a particular favourite with gamers as the stock shortages show, but the company isn't relying on its innovative motion sensor technology as the basis for all the fan worship. As proof of that, the Nintendo Virtual Console has added another series of classic games that will have old and new players alike champing at the proverbial bit.

It might be feeling a bit left out in the whole media player market at the moment, but Sony is fighting back with the release of the Walkman Video MP3 player. At less than 1cm thick, the NW-A800 kind of looks like a Walkman phone.

When it was announced that Nintendo’s next generation console would use a motion sensor remote as its primary control system, it was expected by many to live up to its name at the time and cause a revolution. And even though Nintendo decided to go with the name Wii, the consoles have been flying off the shelves – so much so that a site has been formed to track them down.
