chinese_fighter_plane.jpgYou've seen the movie. You've bought the album. But wouldn't it be great if you could just go out and live the Top Gun dream for real. Fear not, because an enterprising Chinese seller has put up a jet fighter in an online auction.

Seller gsam131139842 is auctioning a real life Jian-5 fighter jet as well as a Red Flag 2 missile (surface-to-air) on www.taobao.com, which is the Chinese equivalent of eBay. According to Shanghai newspaper East Day News.

The seller, from the Hubei province in central China, said that the plane and missile was from his "private collection" and he had every right to sell them. "There's no particular law to prevent the sale and also we have removed the weapon's systems."

The jet went up for sale for $41,000 and the missile can be yours for $65,000. Shipping costs are a very reasonable $2,750. In the best traditions of auction sales, the seller is looking for a quick sale as he needs the money.

The seller has even offered to dismantle the missile prior to shipping and reassemble it for you at your home (which is handy). He also has a T-34/76 tank from the Korean War for $26,000. "It still runs," boasts the auction text.
