xbox_360.jpgIt was announced today at the Game Developers Conference that a brand new 512MB memory unit will be available from April 3, 2007. As Microsoft is increasing the size limit for Xbox Live Arcade games from 50MB to 150 MB, making higher capacity memory units seemed to be the logical solution.

The new increased memory unit will retail for £29.99 and as a treat for consumers will come with the Xbox Live Arcade game from Bizarre Creations - Geometry Wars: Retro Evolved. But it seems gamers will have to move quickly as the offer is for a limited time only.

The Game Developers Conference is the largest industry-only event in the gaming calendar. This year there will be over 350 lectures and discussions covering the gaming industry.
