You can bowl with it, you can bat with it, you can sword fight with it, you can even fish with it. But did you ever expect the Wii to help you out with the housework?
Well prepare to be even more amazed by Nintendo’s fun games console as one user has created code to control a household cleaner. The Roomba vacuum cleaner already has an army of fans who have hacked the unit to make it do what they want. Now Chris Hughes has created some demo code that allows you to move the cleaner back and forth using the Wii’s handheld controller. You can find a two and a half minute YouTube video of his “flippin’ awesome” attempts at Spazout.com. The page also contains the code to try it out for yourself – should you be lucky enough to own a Roomba and a Wii. |
