Optical drive company Lite-On IT has cracked the 20x writing speed for the first time and launched DVD writers capable of doing just that. The Taiwanese manufacturer has bought out two internal disc drives, the LH-20A1P and the LH-20A1H.
As well as the increased writing speed, the LH-20A1H also boasts LightScribe to burn labels for the discs. Bot drives use an ATAPI computer connection and burn CD-RW, DVD-R/RW, DVD-R dual-layer and DVD-RAM at various speeds depending on the media. The previous fastest speed was achieved first by Sony, with its 18x DVD writer. |
