Now that the Playstation 3 is (finally) coming to these shores, Sony might be looking to spice things up a bit with a new version of the PSP. According to rumours that have apparently now been confirmed, there will be a new incarnation of the PSP.
Ray Maguire, the UK boss of Sony Computer Entertainment in the UK confirmed the news saying the current version of the handheld games console is the "first iteration". It seems the new version will not be as hefty, but the screen size will remain the same. Among the rumours surrounding the new additions to the PSP are that – like the Nintendo DS – it could have touch-screen capabilities along with a built-in camera and quicker load times. The new PSP will continue to support Sony’s UMD format, to the obvious relief of PSP users no doubt. |
