Woolies backs Blu-Ray, drops HD-DVD Print E-mail

Amazon Indie ProjectAmazon is planning to offer independent filmmakers a leg up onto high definition DVD by selling 1,000 titles. The 1,000 HD DVD Indies Project will distribute the high-def films using Amazon’s CustomFlix DVD-on-demand service.

Revealed last night, the full list of finalists looks like an oversized boy band.

The company will be giving away the new film with its console for the first 500,000 to register their consoles on the PlayStation Network.

We already told you how the first pirated HD-DVD hit the net. Now it seems just as the heads at Sony felt victory was in their grasp hackers have, well hacked their precious Blu-Ray.
