The problem with falling in love with gadgets [there’s a problem? – Ed] is that pretty soon every nook and cranny in your house of the future is crammed full of the latest gizmos. NextBase aims to help you out of that dilemma by producing what it calls “the Swiss Army knife of home entertainment”.

The NextBase Media 22 is a single, remote-controlled component that comes packed with:

1) an iPod dock
2) USB portable audio device/Flash memory playback
3) DVD/CD player (with DivX and MP3 format compatibility)
4) Bluetooth-streaming option (for playback of music stored on Bluetooth-equipped mobile phones)
5) FM radio
6) 3.5in portable TV with analogue TV tuner
7) Five driver, 2.1-channel speaker system
8) 2 x 12w stereo output plus 20w to subwoofer
