Suspicions that this is a duffer are immediately raised by the fact that the dialogue hasn’t been re-performed by actors for the European market. That leaves you wading through reams of subtitles as surprised Japanese voices go through the motions. And for some reason, certain cut scenes require you to push the X button at the end of every line to move things forward, as if giving you something to do will make things better. If this game had been released at the start of the PlayStation 2’s life, it would have been received a lot better. With all that’s come after that time its look and play is very old-school – and not in a good way! Score: 2/10
