Page 1 of 2 Q has taken time out from creating crocodile swimsuits, jet packs and invisible cars to perfect a silver version of the Sony Ericsson Cybershot K800i mobile phone. The limited edition phone is only available to O2 customers, unlike the silver K800 and K790 models previously released by Sony Ericsson.
As the note from the marketing bods says: “The silver K800i is actually the handset Daniel Craig uses in the movie – very cool.” OK, so you won’t be getting the actual handset that has been touched by the latest actor to portray 007. We know that because O2 is giving away more than 30,000 of them – as the first 30,000 customers to sign up for one receive a triple pack of remastered Bond DVDs. And even those who don’t act quick enough to get a copy of GoldenEye, The Man With The Golden Gun and Goldfinger will get a snazzy free deck of Casino Royale playing cards. The not-so-top-secret gadget also comes rammed with a host of James Bond themed content, such as wallpapers, music ringtones and movie trailer. The tri-band, 3G-enabled handset includes video calling; a 3.2-megapixel camera with auto focus; built-in Xenon flash; and BestPic imaging technology that lets you capture nine frames in just one click. The silver K800i handset will be available until the end of January 2007, with the price depending on the accompanying O2 tariff.
